Prosthodontist, Penny Planzos, DMD, MS, is a caring and compassionate dentist and a valued member of the Impressive Dental Care team. Through her work at the Brooklyn, New York, office, Dr. Planzos helps improve the smiles and confidence of those in her care. 

A solid educational background informs and guides the care Dr. Planzos provides. She completed her undergraduate studies summa cum laude at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton and was inducted into the National Honors Society, Phi Beta Kappa. She then continued her studies at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, where she earned her dental degree with clinical honors. For three years after dental school, she pursued specialized training in Prosthodontics at Columbia University in New York City, earning a master’s degree. Prosthodontics focuses on full mouth rehabilitation, complex dental treatment, and cosmetics. During her specialty training, Dr. Penny Planzos was involved in clinical research on implant dentistry, which won numerous awards, including first place at the American College of Prosthodontics national competition, and is pending publication.

As a prosthodontist, Dr. Planzos is highly skilled in treatments that restore, replace, and improve teeth. She performs implant restorations, dental veneers, crowns, and bridges and enjoys incorporating the latest technology into her treatments.

 Dr. Penny Planzos understands that feeling confident about one’s smile is essential for excellent dental care. She performs restorations with an eye toward the aesthetic balance of each patient’s features and smile.

Technical skills are essential, but many patients are also impressed with the personalized care they receive from Dr. Planzos. Visits are never rushed, and patients are encouraged to ask questions and play an active role in shaping their care. Collaborating with her sisters and father on patients’ dental treatment allows for seamless communication when comprehensive treatment plans are needed and a nurturing environment for patients.
